Company Releases First Quarter Electricity Market Transaction Information
On April 28, the State Grid Corporation of China held a power market transaction information conference in Beijing for the first quarter of this year. The meeting released the power market transaction information for the first quarter of this year, and introduced the power supply and demand situation. In the first quarter of this year, the amount of electricity traded in the national electricity market reached 157.321 billion kilowatt-hours, of which 71.655 billion kilowatt-hours were traded across regions, an increase of 10.44 per cent over the same period last year.
The company takes advantage of the large power grid, makes full use of the long-distance and large-capacity transmission characteristics of the UHV power grid, vigorously carries out cross-regional and cross-provincial transactions, and optimizes the allocation of resources on a larger scale.
In the first quarter, the company's regional clean energy cross-regional and inter-provincial power transmission reached 63.5 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 12.5, and the results of large-scale consumption of clean energy were remarkable. Southwest hydropower delivery 16.7 billion kWh, up 2.8 percent year-on-year. The "Three Norths" wind power, solar power and other new energy sources delivered 9 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 44.7 percent over the same period last year. The company's pilot organization of the northwest to send Shandong Yindong DC cross-regional power customers direct transactions, through centralized bidding and bilateral negotiation two ways to carry out, a total of 9 billion kilowatt-hours of the transaction, of which wind power, solar power generation of 1.8 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for 20%, to promote the large-scale consumption of new energy.
The company conscientiously implements the policy of energy conservation and emission reduction, and strives to create conditions to promote the trading of power generation rights for high-efficiency energy-saving generating units to replace high-energy-consuming generating units. In the first quarter, the company completed a total of 3.093 billion kWh of power generation rights transactions in its operating area, a year-on-year decrease of 76.10, saving 199800 tons of standard coal, which is equivalent to reducing sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide emissions by 361.89 tons and 519600 tons.
