From May 6 to the early morning of May 7, strong convective weather occurred in some areas of Hubei, and thunderstorms occurred locally. Heavy rainfall caused 79 10 kV lines in Wuhan, Jingzhou, Yichang, Xianning, Huanggang, Shiyan, etc. to trip, and 131000 customers in the province were cut off. State Grid Hubei Electric Power started the emergency response mechanism for the first time, quickly organized forces, and rushed to repair and construct overnight. State Grid Hubei Electric Power has dispatched a total of 1580 emergency repair personnel and 401 emergency repair vehicles to do a good job in emergency repair. On May 8, heavy rainfall occurred again in Jiangxi Province. The rainstorm caused some distribution network equipment in Guangchang County, Lichuan County, Nanfeng County and Yihuang County to be shut down. A total of 19 10-35 kV lines were shut down, and 521 stations were cut off, affecting 58500 customers. As of 17:10 on May 9th, the State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power has dispatched a total of 604 emergency repair personnel and 142 emergency repair vehicles. All customers who suffered power outages due to the disaster have restored power supply.
On May 8, heavy rainfall occurred in Chenzhou, Hunan Province, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. The heavy rain caused damage to some rural power grids in Guiyang County. A total of 21 poles were reversed, 28 lines were disconnected, 46 10kV high-voltage lines were cut off, 885 power supply stations were affected, and 57623 customers were cut off. State Grid Hunan Electric Power immediately organized Chenzhou Power Supply Company to repair the damaged power supply facilities. A total of 570 repair personnel, 12 repair teams and 180 repair vehicles were dispatched. As of 8: 00 on May 9, all power supply was restored.
From the evening of May 5th to the early morning of 6th, Sichuan Guangyuan, Mianyang, Bazhong, Dazhou, Nanchong, Suining, Guang'an, Deyang, Chengdu and other places were hit by heavy rains, accompanied by thunder and lightning, local winds and hail. Heavy rain caused 48 10 kV, 5 110 kV and 1 220 kV lines to trip. Chengdu Power Supply Company dispatched a total of more than 300 emergency repair teams, and Chengdu Power Grid has restored more than 50% of the load power supply. In Mianzhu, in the town of Shifang City, which was hit by hail, the personnel of the power supply company carried out special inspections on the lines and towers under its jurisdiction, made every effort to eliminate the fault points, isolated and repaired the damaged lines and towers, and quickly restored the power supply.
